Happy New Year!

Jen and I went to Fox´s Bar for New Year´s Eve. Turns out, it´s a bar that´s owned and run by a British couple that has lived here in Calpe, Spain, for over 20 years! So, we ended up spending New Year´s Eve with a bunch of Brits! LOL =) It was fun! The cigarette smoke was a bit much though. We´ve tried airing out our clothing, but, it´s hopeless. We´ll just have ot stick that stuff in the wash when we get back.

After ringing in the new year, there was much dancing, but, Jen and I weren´t up for it so we left at 1 and came back to the resort and took our bottle of champagne that we´d gotten from the Vista Natalia resort we stayed at in Mojacar and grabbed warm blankets and went up to the top deck of our bungalow and just looked out on the city, sipped champagne, and chatted until 2:30. There were a bunch of Spaniards in a nearby bungalow who were just partying like crazy! When we went back downstairs, they were still going strong, at 2:30! Who knows how much longer they went on for!

Everything is closed today so we just wound up sleeping (well, actually, I slept ´til 1:30) and relaxing. We´ll be heading out for dinner soon and then we´ll come back and rest up because we´ll have a long day ahead of us in Valencia tomorrow.
